Black Celebration Series Zwift 2023 Announced

In a press release earlier today, Zwift announced that their Black Celebration Series would be back for 2023. Many of the features/rides from last year will remain the same, so here is a post recapping what will be happening.

This year, Zwift is sponsoring several foundations to help support the Black cycling community: “As part of our year round efforts to support the Black community Zwift has sponsored the California Conference for Equality and Justice, LA Bicycling Academy, and Sporting Equals — three organizations committed to driving change.”

This February, Zwift will be offering BCS(Black Celebration Series) rides throughout the week. These rides will include group rides, podcast rides, and workouts of the weeks. Contrary to most events, runners will also be able to participate in 20 minute group runs on the Ocean Lava Cliffside Loop course throughout the month. Group rides will be 60 minutes long on the Ocean Lava Cliffside Loop course in Watopia.

Ride Schedule

Here is the schedule of the rides from the Zwift BCS webpage:

  • Saturday, February 5: The Black Foxes and Rahsaan Bahati
  • Saturday, February 12: David Lipscomb
  • Saturday, February 19: Damon Turner and Black Girls Do Bike (BGDB)
