Here are a few tips on how to become a better time trialist. No matter what kind of racing you do, there will almost always be a time trial that will come up at some point in your career in racing. Here are a few tips and tricks for getting a better results on a time trial.
1. One of the most important things about a time trial is pacing. I recommend easing into the race, rather than going full gas from the start. Also be sure to do a good warm up around 20 minutes long.
2. Get to know the route that you are riding. Before doing the race. Make sure that you get familiar with the course and where the ups and downs of the route are.
3. Have a good TT set up. One thing that can help your time quite a bit is having a good TT bike and wheelset. For a flat TT I would recommend the Felt IA and the most aero wheelset that you have.
