The winners of the Zwift Academy Road 2022 have just been announced. This year was definitely an exciting year and every day was quite eventful. Unfortunately, two riders were unable to participate due to Covid, but the rest went on to battle it out. In the end, only two riders can score pro contracts.

Zwift Academy Road 2022 Women’s // Alex Morrice

Alex was the standout sprinter in the group and out in a solid effort on the final climb, giving it everything she had left to try to compete with the top climbers. Alex will be racing for Canyon/SRAM for the 2023 season! Zwift will also be hosting a group ride with Alex to celebrate her win of the pro contract. Zwift Academy Road 2022 Men’s // Luca Vergallito

Luca was by far the best climber in the race, and didn’t even appear to be tired after the final climb. He finished the big climb in around 14 minutes, only one minute off of Tadej Pogachar’s time. Luca will be racing for Alpecin-Deceuninck for the 2023 season. Zwift will be hosting a group ride with Luca in celebration of his win.
