Zwift To Host E-Sports UCI World Championships

Zwift has been confirmed to be hosting the UCI E-Sports World Championships, here are some key changes.

Most of the things will stay the same. The route for this year will be 2.5 laps of the New York Knickerbocker route, the event will be on the 26th of February and it will be live streamed on the Zwift YouTube channel. The winner for men and women will receive the rainbow UCI jersey in game and in real life, there will also be prize money for the winners.

Unlike last year, Zwift will be allowing the top A category riders who are racing in the current season of Zwift Racing League Premier Division, so only the best of the best will be able to qualify. You also must be a level 5+ Zwifter in order to qualify. There will be 5 different regions to qualify for the event. The regions are Oceana, Asia, Europe, Africa, and Pan America. The men will race on the 28th, while the women will race on the 27th of November. You can also qualify by participating in the continental open event series or the ZRL community division. You have to be categorized as an A or A+ rider.
