Zwift Update March Released 1.33.5

The latest Zwift update has just been released. Zwift game version 1.33.5 is now available on all platforms!

Overview

Apparently this game release was not substantial enough to receive its own new version number, so it is simply an addition to the January game release(1.33). However, there are quite a few things that Zwift added or changed in this game release. These include HoloReplay changes, a new route, and the arrival of Scotland for the public.

Scotland is Open!

Scotland has been available for riders to ride on for the past month or so, but only in events. Now, riders can create club events and meet ups on the new courses. The course calendar has also been updated to include Scotland for ~10 days this month. This gives riders an opportunity to explore this new world. Riders can also access Scotland through world hacking or starting a workout and selecting Scotland.

New Route – France Classic Fondo

Zwift’s newest route is the France Classic Fondo. This route covers all of the roads in France except Ven-Top. Overall, the course is pretty flat and will serve as a great long, endurance course for Zwifters. In addition to this, next month’s mission, a mission celebrating the Paris-Roubaix Femmes avec Zwift, encourages riders to ride 145km(90.1 mi)—the exact distance of this course. I suspect Zwifters will be seeing this new course in some upcoming events centered around the Paris-Roubaix Femmes avec Zwift!

HoloReplay Updates

Some of you may have noticed that at some times, you have numerous HoloReplay’s swarming you. Now, Zwifters have the option to turn some of them on and off. Here are the selections:

  • Only on Routes
  • Only on Segments
  • Both on Routes & Segments
The Ususal

As usual, Zwift fixed the things that they broke in previous updates.

Bugs

Just because Zwift fixed stuff, it doesn’t mean that they didn’t also break stuff in the process! Here is the list for this month…

My Thoughts

Overall, solid update. It is perfectly understandable that Zwift has been hard at work recently, so the developments are not as big as the ones we’ve seen in months prior.
