Even before Zwift’s pace partners were released, Zwifters have long been requesting pacer bots that adapt to your speeds on courses, and paces you to help you beat your time. This could help users beat time trial times, KOM’s, sprints, etc. Very similar to what many racing platforms do(Mario Kart time trial mode).
Zwift has just announced that these will be releasing to the public over the next few months. Users will be able to have a bot follow their previous time on a segment to help pace them. It will not be visible to other users, just yourself. Here are some images of what it will look like:
