For the longest time, Zwift’s “Gravel Mountain” world had been a development world that the public never got to ride. However, in the latest “This Season on Zwift” press release, Zwift announced that they would be opening up Gravel Mountain for events. This is Zwift’s first gravel-only map, which seems to be pretty fitting with the rapid rise in popularity of gravel riding (here in the United States, at least).

Gravel Mountain is a pretty simple 3-mile circuit that uses Zwift’s gravel surface, which has a rolling resistance somewhere in between road and dirt. Riders will want to choose a gravel frame with a gravel wheelset. The fastest frame and wheels can be found here: https://zwiftinsider.com/jungle-speed-tests/

The first opportunity to ride in this new world will be with the Pas Normal Racing Series. The series will feature 4 stages, 3 of them being on different Gravel Mountain routes and one of them being on the new Yumezi Grit route in Makuri Islands.
More details on the routes will be added here, along with a complete ride-through once the world is live. Stay tuned for April 6th!
